Breast Cancer Network of Strength is seeking breast cancer advocates to fill volunteer positions as breast health educators. The volunteer will be responsible for organizing and presenting Network of Strength educational programs in their community.
Present Network of Strength Breast Cancer Basics and Breast Health Awareness workshops to the public
Actively pursue opportunities to present Network of Strength workshops to the public
Generate relationships with local schools, hospitals, health centers, etc.
Maintain records as outlined by the program’s quality assurance guidelines
Serve as an ambassador for Network of Strength programs and services to participants, as well as promote Network of Strength within the community
Must be a breast health advocate (if you are a breast cancer survivor, you must be a minimum of one year out of treatment)
Must have successfully satisfied Network of Strength’s facilitator training requirements
Good verbal skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
Prior experience with training in small group settings
Connection to the community
